Do you have a child who seems to react suuuuuuper irrationally when certain requests are made?

Maybe it seems that they lack the skills required to complete a task, so rather than working through it, they explode.

If you have ever found yourself in this situation, first of all families, we want you to know that:

>> you’re not alone

>> you’re not a bad parent

>> and your kiddo is not a bad kiddo!

Second, we want to say–don’t lose hope!

There is help and support, and we want to share a glimmer of that hope in today’s podcast episode. Our guest, Kim Hopkins  is a licensed clinical social worker and she is going to be enlightening us on how to handle challenging behavior and challenging kids.

Not only is she sharing with us the “how,” but she is also diving into the “why” which truly is just as important.

We can’t truly fix issues until we understand the root of the problem and Kim so eloquently explains why our challenging kiddos might be responding the way that they do!

Through her collaborative and proactive solutions model that she shares, she gives the steps needed to walk through working out the challenging behaviors with our kids.

Families–this is what our world needs more of.

An approach that allows us to work alongside our kids rather than constantly being exhausted when the bribery and force method is not working.

There is no doubt that parenting is going to be full of beautiful days, and also plenty of challenging ones. At Fresh Start Family, we want to equip you to work through those challenging days with grace so that they become less frequent, and your family can thrive!

Episode Highlights:
